Outreach Program

The Shepard Outreach Program provides high quality and cost effective school based mental health services for public school districts to help struggling students remain in district, and/or return from an out-of-district placement.

Shepard works with schools to establish programs "in-district" designed to provide necessary academic and behavioral support so students may achieve success in their home district. Shepard provides certified school psychologists and counselors to work with students, parents, and faculty.

Outreach program services are tailored to each district's specific needs and can include:
  • Counseling Services

    Individual, Group, Family

  • Behavioral Assessment and Intervention Services

    Functional Behavioral Assessment and Behavioral Intervention Plans
    Consultation with district teachers, CST, and other faculty
    Psycho-educational assessments

  • Program development,
    implementation and/or evaluation

    Behavioral programs, self-contained classrooms, in-district alternative school Educational groups
    Classroom management systems
    Training for faculty, staff, students, and parents

  • Collaboration with district staff
    and participation in related district activities

    I&RS meetings, CST, IEP meetings, Parent groups, faculty meetings
